How PREF*RE started

PREF*RE started with a simple observation: the hand warmers people already used worked, but the category had very little personality.

We wanted to make an air-activated, single-use hand warmer that felt considered from the pouch to the packaging.

Gaming was one of the first places the idea made sense. Cold venues and long sessions made warm hands part of the routine. From there, we kept seeing the same product fit outdoors, on commutes, and anywhere cold hands get annoying.

SOLO is built for 8+ hours of steady warmth. ULTRA is built for 12+ hours in a larger pouch.

The ingredients inside can return to earth after use. The outer spun-lace pouch is not compostable.
